Charles Morrison Dies
Funeral services were held at the Lind Methodist church Friday for Charles N. Morrison, 84, pioneer Lind resident who died June 2, with the Rev. F. L. Moore of Spokane officiating.

Burial was in the Peone Prairie cemetery near Spokane, beside a son who preceded him in death. He and his neighbors established the Peone Prairie cemetery 50 years ago and an endowment from a neighbor at the time of her death has kept the cemetery in beautiful appearance.

Charles Morrison was born in Minnesota April 5, 1859, spending his boyhood and youth there. He was married there in 1883 and he and his wife came to Washington in 1885, settling in the Peone Prairie neighborhood near Spokane. They moved to Lind in 1902 and had lived here up to the time of his death.

He was a member of the Order of Maccabees and kept up his membership until the time of his death.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by five sons, three daughters and 14 grandchildren.
