The walkways of the present are paved with the rocks of hardship of the past, and for that we should never
forget those who smoothed the way for what we enjoy today".
(President David O. McKay; Gospel Ideals, p.316)
This Site is dedicated to the memory of my father, Sgt. Joseph Morrison Harley, who died in Thamesbruck, Germany at the age of 24, while serving his country during WWII.
The primary purpose of this website is to provide a place where those of us researching the Surname HARLEY may find a common ground on which to share Family History and Genealogy, to help one another in our attempts to link to the past. I have searched many sites and have found so few actively researching this family name. Perhaps by having a place to meet, we will be able to make inroads into connecting our common lines.
"Our ancestors laid the foundation. Ours is the duty to build upon it. They marked the path and led the way. Ours is the obligation to enlarge and broaden and strengthen that path until it encompasses the whole earth." (Teachings of Gordon B. Hinckley, p450-451)
