NOTES: In June 1638 sailed on the "Hercules" from Sandwich, ENG with wife, 3
children & 5 servants. On the shipping list he is called "Yeoman". He settled in Dorchester, MA where he was proprietor, Freeman Mar 14, 1639; leading citizen, called "gentleman". In 1653-55 he was Magistrate. He was one of the signers of the "bond to be recorded" 28 Jan 1661. The other signers were Nicholas Norton, Gov. Thomas Mayhew and Thomas Bayes. They bound themselves to "pay 100 pounds of good lawful money to England."
